My 8 year old feral cat, Little Winnie, has been wet on her tail, back paws and stomach. My vet did 2 ultrasounds and 2 rounds of meds for a bladder infection. The infection cleared up but she is still wet and losing fur. All of her blood work came back normal with her urine appearing a little cloudy. She does not appear to be in any pain and has an appetite and takes her calming treats. I am at a loss for what could be causing this and there is no strong smell of urine. My vet thinks she could be laying in something that is leaking, but I have checked the whole house and cannot find anything. She was dropping a pink colored liquid at first now she is just wet. Has anyone experienced this or has any suggestions? Her CBC was normal as well as her thyroid panel. I would appreciate any advice on this matter.
Thank You,
Stacy McFarland
RESPONSE:
When you said there was no place she could lay in the house to get wet, I thought it might be excessive grooming which can make a cat wet but you mentioned no hair loss. So, although I wish I had an answer for you, I don't.
Perhaps one of our readers has run into this problem and will share the experience. I wish you good luck in resolving it.
