My red Persian has whiskers that are very dark (either brown or black) at the base (about an inch) and are white the rest of way to the tip. You didn't mention this trait in your article on whiskers. Is it common? Is it related to his being Persian or a red Persian?
RESPONSE:
You are right, I didn't really deal with many color variations of whiskers in the article. although I mentioned there were a few non-conformists that have both black and white. So, you have one of those non-conformists, and not all of them are Persians.
