Spine injury

My cat had a mass removed and has a spine injury. Before surgery I came home to him totally loosing control of his bladder and pee everywhere after surgery and a steroid shot in his back 4 weeks later still no control of bladder or other liter functions. Will he get better or is it time to say goodbye? He is an older cat and feel horrible about it

RESPONSE:

You didn't say if you discussed it with the vet who performed the mass removal. If you haven't, then I suggest that you call and inquire if this is a condition that will correct over time.
