My kitty has a blister that was not there yesterday, tonight I saw it when he was rolling around being so cute. It looks like it's filled with pinkish liquid, no pus, the skin is not broken. the only thing i can think of is that maybe when i was brushing him yesterday i nicked the skin a little and caused that.. I'm not sure, i have never seen such a thing on a cat before. My other cat just passed away a week ago so maybe kitty is stressed out from not seeing his buddy?
I don't know... I know the answer would be to bring him to the vet but every time is hundreds of dollars :/
RESPONSE:
It is common for a sort of blister to appear when a foreign substance gets beneath the skin, such as a cat that has had a tussle with another cat and a claw shard is left embedded.
However, it sounds like this isn't the case with your cat. A small bristle from the brush perhaps? Its hard to know. What I would do is apply a little topical antibiotic such as Neosporin to help control a possible infection and watch it carefully for a few days to see if there is improvement.
If you don't see much improvement then I'm afraid its time to have your cat looked at by a professional vet. I wish you good luck with seeing it disappear.
