on tops of ears, raised, little hard, crusty knots that do not weep, get better with an essential oil, but comes back. Is this related to a rash of crusty skin under his bottom lip?
RESPONSE:
The ears and mouth areas could be a related problem such as an allergy although around the mouth is more often a form of feline acne.
Cats can develop a food allergy even to food they've eaten for a long time. They can get a bacterial infection on the skin. They can also get contact dermatitis from coming into contact with irritants such as shampoo and soaps. There are numerous reasons for these crusty lumps and your best bet is to have them evaluated by your vet to determine their cause.
