One of my cats had FLUTD (crystals) and is on a special diet, and now over a year later my other cat got it Have you heard of this problem tending to spread among cats in the same household? My vet said because it can be bacterial, viral and related to minerals in the food it could essentially spread to another cat Is the fact that indoor cats tend to get it more than outdoor cats simply due to the lack of exercise? Thanks
RESPONSE:
I researched this topic a couple of years ago to help people understand what FLUTD entails. I think you will find the information helpful. I have a 15 year old cat that had an episode a few months ago and it was resolved quickly with antibiotics.
