For several years my 18 year old female cat has had blood in her urine. Administration of Orbax had no positive effect, which ruled out UTI. My vet indicated that a costly C-scan could indicate whether she had a cancerous tumor, but we wouldn't want an elderly cat to have to undergo surgery and/or other cancer treatment.
Just recently she began very frequent bloody urination on any surface in the house in which she happens to be. Do you have any suggestions?
RESPONSE:
I have no other suggestion because when my 15 year old cat Blaze had the same problem just weeks ago and administration of 20ml Orbax resolved it. She had it for 2 weeks, once a day.
I don't know what the strength of your dosage was or how long you gave it to your cat, but it worked for us. Check with your vet and see if you can try Orbax a second time.
At the age of your cat I agree that surgery would do little more than buy it a few weeks or months and a lot of pain. However, I would try Orbax a second time. Best of luck to you both.
